FAQs

  • Both local and foreign domestic helpers are required by law to be insured under the Employment Ordinance.

    We offer insurance plans for foreign domestic helpers online. For local domestic helper insurance, please contact us at getcovered@california.com.hk.

  • All kinds of domestic helpers, aged 18-60, are eligible for our domestic helper insurance, provided they do not perform the role of a driver.

  • Using the mobile app, a claim can take somewhere between 5-7 days. While we will endeavour to meet this timeline, processing times may vary from claim to claim, so please bear with us.

  • By using the mobile app.

    Simply input your information, upload photos of supporting documents, and select the type of claim you need, and we will transfer the money to you within 5-7 days.

Remarks

  1. Only domestic helpers that meet with the following criteria are eligible for this domestic helper insurance plan:

    • aged between 18 to 60;

    • have not been declined by any insurance company for coverage or accepted only with special terms and/or additional premium; and

    • healthy and currently not receiving any medical attention or on any medication or treatment.

  2. Limited Time Promotion of Helper CaliGive domestic helper insurance plan is available for limited period of time, and subject to changes without any prior notice.

  3. The domestic helper's scope of working shall not include driving any vehicles.
